These days health food comes in many ways, shapes and forms – and it doesn’t have to taste like cardboard. When catering an event, it is a good idea to have a range of healthy food for people who may be on special diets, and those who are generally concerned with what they are eating.

The most important part about supplying healthy food to guests, is making sure you have plenty of fresh produce. One way to ensure your food is healthy, is to serve food that is as whole and unprocessed as possible. People do not have to worry about checking labels on their food when they can see that it is made by nature.

While many alternative diets (i.e. gluten-free, vegan, paleolithic) exist, a buffet involving fresh food will simplify your job by giving your guests options to create a meal that suits their lifestyle. If you offer fresh fruit and vegetables, protein sources (both meat and vegetarian) and some form of carbohydrate, everyone will be able to enjoy their meal.
