Wedding Menus for Kids

Posted on

Whether you believe in kid food or not, you might want to reevaluate whether you’re willing to pay for kids to eat adult meals at your wedding. If you’ve chosen plated meals for your special day, you might consider providing a simpler dinner for your youngest guests.

What do kids eat, anyway? The tried and proven method for feeding a child is – keep it plain. Most American kids will happily chow down on pizza, pasta, hamburgers and fries. While these options are extremely basic and don’t offer much in the way of nutrition, they’re a surefire way to provide a meal that will be enjoyed.

If you’re looking for something a little more upscale, consider options like fish and chips, lasagne, chicken schnitzel or pulled pork sliders. These options can look attractive on the plate, while remaining attractive to a child. To ensure that the kids are eating something nutritious, a raw vegetable platter (with dips such as hummus and ranch) in the middle of the table is a colorful way to encourage healthy habits.

Having a kids’ menu at your wedding will not only benefit the children in attendance, it will keep their parents happy – and reduce your catering costs.
