Last week on the blog, we uncovered some ways to explore the Bay Area one bite at a time. In today’s post, we go global with the same idea. When traveling the world, you can unashamedly plan your trip to revolve around the tastes of the places you’ll go.

Copenhagen is famous for a restaurant called Noma, which serves 20 course reimagined Nordic cuisine. Named the Best Restaurant in the World since 2007, Noma is one place you’d better make reservations in advance.

Known for its fame in the movie Jiro Dreams of Sushi, Sukiyabashi Jiro is a tiny sushi restaurant in Tokyo. Like Noma, you’ll want to reserve your spot at the world’s best sushi restaurant way before you leave the States. It’s so good that even President Obama made a stop there last year!

If you’re looking for something less fancy, check out this list of 12 Must-Try Street foods from around the world – brought to you by Fodor’s Travel. You’ll certainly discover something new on the streets of India, Malaysia and Israel.

If you’re a foodie at heart, go ahead and plan your trip around one of the greatest pleasures life can bring. Widen your horizons, and let your taste buds enhance your journey.
