New Year’s Resolutions

Without a doubt, the most common New Year’s Resolutions relate to cleaner eating, weight loss, and higher activity levels. It’s easy to make a resolution, but much harder to put your ideals into practice. After a season of festivity, it’s natural to want to clean up your diet, so here are three simple ways to stay healthy (and realistic) in 2018.


  • All Things in Moderation
    If you cut out all treats, you’re more likely to break – and eventually binge. Make space for small treats, or make your own “healthier” versions of treat you love.
  • Read Labels
    Be aware of the amount of sugar, fat, sodium, and carbohydrates you’re putting into your body. Is the sugar natural or added? Are there products available with less sugar? Greek yogurt, for example, is packed with protein… but often also with sugar. Canned foods may be low in fat, but sky high in sodium. Know what you’re putting in your body!
  • Eat Real Food
    The best way to clean up your diet is by simply eating real food. Buy fresh, not processed, foods and make what you can from scratch. There are so many additives that you can avoid if you’re willing to put in a bit of extra effort into preparation.
