Catering Central chef and owner Marcos Belfiore, a native of Menlo Park, CA, is a California Culinary Academy graduate and has been in the food business for almost twenty years. He began his restaurant career as a line cook at Lulu in San Francisco, moving on to become sous chef at Splendido in San Francisco and then head chef at Plouf in San Francisco, Pasta Moon in Half Moon Bay, and Fabbro’s in Redwood City. Marcos’ South American background and travels to Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Venezuela, France, Italy, and Greece have influenced his cooking.
Marcos established his own catering company, Catering Central, with the goal of offering a wide variety of food choices and top-notch quality food. At Catering Central, Marcos selects the freshest local, organic, sustainably farmed ingredients. Prepared by the expert hands of his classically trained staff, Catering Central’s dishes are fresh, varied, and delicious. Catering Central caters lunches, dinners, corporate events, and private parties.
