Catering Central was the team we hired for our Christmas Party in Indian Creek, Redwood Shores. The food was incredibly superb! Word also has it that our corporate office has heard of the success of the event brought on by this impressive array of gastronomic delights. Working with Marcos was a bree...
Considering that the temperature in the Bay Area stays pretty consistent, most of us aren’t lucky enough to have a pool in our backyard. For those that do, or those who know a great pool for hosting a party, we have some ideas for making your pool party an event to be remembered.
Safety is super important, so make sure you keep glass away from the pool. Serve drinks in plastic cups and keep your alcoholic beverage bottles separate to the pool area. If you’re worried that plastic won’t look very attractive, check out the wide range of glass alternatives at your local party store. I think you’ll be amazed at what you find – with the added benefit of not having to do dishes after the fact.
Appetizers like melon balls, mango cubes and grapes are the perfect summery treat to get the party started. Grilling is an obvious winner when it comes to serving the main course at a pool party – grill corn on the cob, hamburgers, hot dogs and even some of the suggested recipes from the blog last week. Without access to a grill, pool parties also pair well with Hawaiian pizza.
Pool parties are a celebration of all the excellent attributes of summer, taking us back to that childhood feeling of school being out. Music is an essential part of creating atmosphere, so turn up some classics like The Beach Boys, or something more modern, like The Paper Kites or Fleet Foxes.
Decorations are a sinch for pool parties – so go and check out what your local party supply stores have on offer. Enjoy summer while it lasts!
Can you believe Halloween is just around the corner? There’s only a few short weeks until we don our skeleton costumes and fill our houses with candy for the trick-or-treaters. If you’re planning a party to celebrate the freakiest night of the year, we have some delicious ideas for you!
Preparing some gross-looking (but good-tasting) food for a kids party is an absolute must. Parenting.com has some incredible recipes to put smiles on your little ones’ faces – click here for details. If you want to steer clear of gory themes, you can always use pumpkins, witches, spiders and cats as festive symbolism.
For an adult Halloween party, Pinterest has you covered. From spooky cocktails to hilarious costumes, you’ll never be short of ideas when you’ve got thousands of pins at your fingertips.
Don’t forget that we can help you out with catering your Halloween party, too! Give us a call today, and we’ll help you feed your creepy crew.
Rustic catering is a way to keep things classy, while getting back to the simple things in life. An increasing number of couples are opting for rustic styling for their weddings, showcasing a timeless handmade aesthetic. A huge advantage to rustic catering is that the food will be fresh, whole, flavorful and nutritious.
Setting the stage for your rustic food is an important step to giving your event a synergistic look. Repurposed wooden crates make a perfect old-timey table, and an interesting way to serve small desserts. Burlap tablecloths, chalk boards and handmade bunting will add another element of old world charm.
For the food itself, there’s no doubt that a rustic theme lends itself to gourmet fare. Crusty bread, grilled whole meat and vegetables – as well as drinks from Mason Jars – will bring your rustic world to life. Forget about incredibly modern food, and keep your food “whole” – meaning as unprocessed as possible.
If you’re looking for an event to be rustically catered, run a simple Google search for more ideas about how to style the event as beautifully as possible. Give Catering Central a call – we specialize in event planning and offer many menu options for rustic-style events.

Company Event is a Success!!
I've had Catering Central do two events here at Tesla. Marcos went above and beyond to make sure that both of my events were a success. His food also matched their excellent service throughout the whole planning - from picking out the menu, to working with our budget, to the day of the event and even afterwards. Enzo also was very professional and was on top of things on the day of.
I can't wait to use them again for other events.

Quality Food and Service!
Came across Catering Central website while looking for caterers to bring lunch to our office every week. Our employees are typically very picky but Marcos' meets or exceeds our expectations every time. Everything is always fresh and hot. We only have about 40 or less employees but the portions are generous and it's nice to have friendly people delivering who make sure we are satisfied with our order. I highly recommend Catering Central for any event!
